Due to the recent storms and saturated grounds, we must cancel the 4th Annual Dino Day Celebration at Champion Park originally scheduled for May 12.  We are unable to bring in equipment and other amenities that were planned for the day.  The park will remain open, however, for general public use!  We have not determined a new date for the event and regret any inconvenience.  Please check our website for upcoming events and other county related news.

Williamson County, the Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority and the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) are preparing to start construction of a bicycle/pedestrian bridge over Brushy Creek at 183A with the selection of a contractor for the project.  Montoya Anderson Construction, Inc. has been selected to build the bridge that will connect the Williamson County Brushy Creek Regional Trail to the 183A Shared-Use Path underneath the 183A South Brushy Creek Bridge.

The Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department will delay the planned improvement and closure of the Brushy Creek Regional Trail between Champion Park and Brushy Creek Lake Park to allow time for further project review.

The disc golf course at the Southwest Regional Park is closed until mid-October 2012 due to site restoration.  We apologize for the inconvenience and encourage disc golfers to take advantage of the other beautiful disc golf courses in Williamson County during this time.
