Williamson County Cite and Release: You have been issued a citation in leu of going to jail.This is an arrest, you are being diverted from jail. At your appearance date, you will be finger printed, photographed, magistrated by a judge, given a court date, allowed to post a PR bond, and allowed to leave provided you don’t have warrant or other issues.
Location to Appear:Processing Center: 405 Martin Luther King, Georgetown Texas (Williamson County Justice Center) lower level (Impaneling Room), at 9:00am the 3rd Friday of the month following the month you were issued the citation.
Failure to Appear: Your failure to show-up on your scheduled appearance date (see citation for correct date), WILL result in a warrant being issued for your arrest.
BOND: Unlike being arrested on the day of your citation, you will be granted a $2,000 PR bond, there is currently a $60 processing fee for the bond, which you will pay on the date of your appearance.The magistrate’s office DOES NOT ACCEPT CASH.The fee can be paid by money order, cashiers check, debit card, VISA, or Master Card.
Appear in Person: YOU MUST APPEAR IN PERSON at the processing center. DO NOT send another person to handle your citation.
