Nestled in the northern part of Taylor Texas, hometown of Bill Pickett, the new Williamson County Exposition Center (formerly known as the East Williamson County Events Center) rests on 95 acres of land. The new Expo Center was voter approved in the 2013 bond election, approved by the Commissioners Court during the June 24, 2014 voting session, and broke ground on September 25, 2015.
The Taylor Rodeo Association began having their annual rodeo in 1950. When the East Williamson County Events Center was built in 2004, the Rodeo made that venue its home. You have heard the saying, “Everything’s bigger and better in Texas”, well that still holds true to our Expo Center. To accommodate the quickly growing county, surrounding areas, and to integrate a variety of event needs, the new Williamson County Exposition Center will not only continue to be the home of the annual Taylor Rodeo, they will also foster new relationships with a variety of other venues as well. With easy access to SH 79 and SH 95 and several entry points, Williamson County’s new Exposition Center is the smart choice for your event needs.
