Judge Brooks was the first elected female trial court Judge in Williamson County and began her term of office in January 2003. She also served as Judge of County Court Two in Williamson County for several months in 2002, after being appointed by the Commissioners Court to fill a vacant bench.
In 2010, Judge Brooks received special recognition by being named to the “Victim’s Advocate Wall of Fame” for treating victims of crime with fairness, dignity and respect in her courtroom. Judge Brooks has worked diligently with other local officials to establish CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) in Williamson County and has seen first hand how CASA volunteers are making a positive difference in the lives of many children.
Also in 2010, Judge Brooks was selected as a member to the Texas Bar Foundation, an organization that recognizes professional achievement in attorneys and judges. She served as the local Presiding Judge over the County Courts at Law for several years. Judge Brooks will retire from the bench in 2018.
