Williamson County Allocates ARPA Funds for Infrastructure Projects

The Williamson County Commissioners Court allocated $72.5 million in American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds for water and wastewater projects throughout the county. Williamson County received approximately $114 million in ARPA funds and until today had allocated only approximately $36.5. Approximately $5 million remains unallocated.

Williamson County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) is participating with more than 40 other EMS agencies across the country in a quality improvement project to help make responses safer for the community and EMS personnel.

County Offices Closed for Memorial Day
County Offices Closed for Memorial Day

Williamson County offices will be closed on Monday, May 30, in observance of Memorial Day. All county operations will resume regular house on Tuesday, May 31, 2022.

Through the end of the month, WCRAS is offering Name Your Price adoptions for all medium-to-large adult dogs and adult cats for active duty and veteran members of our armed forces. Civilians can take advantage of $25 adoptions for those same pets when they schedule an appointment by emailing [email protected]. All adoptable pets may be previewed at wilcopets.org.

SBA Offers Disaster Loan Outreach Centers in Round Rock and Jarrell

Low-interest federal disaster loans are available to Williamson County businesses, residents and nonprofits affected by the severe storms and tornadoes that occurred on March 21, 2022. View the SBA fact sheet in English and Spanish.

In Williamson County, the Disaster Loan Outreach Center in Jarrell at the Wayfinders Church, 508 N. 5th Street, will close at 6 p.m. on Thursday, May 26. A Disaster Loan Outreach Center is open at 1 p.m. at the Clay Madsen Recreation Center, 1600 Gattis School Road, in Round Rock. The center will be open Mondays through Fridays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; however, it will be closed on Monday, May 30, for Memorial Day. View the press release for more information.
