Road Closure: The County’s contractor, Chasco Constructors, is scheduled to begin work on the Davilla Street Project in Granger.  On Thursday, March 31, the contractor is scheduled to pave Ash Street, which is located just north of Davilla Street.  Ash Street is being paved to improve the crossing over the railroad tracks for haul trucks going to the gin. On Friday, April 1, the contractor plans to place barricades to close Davilla Street from SH 95 to approximately 200 ft west of SH 95, through Walton Street. The closure will last approximately four to six weeks, depending on the weather. The project includes removing some of the brick pavers so that a damaged box culvert can be removed and replaced. The bricks will be salvaged and delivered to the city of Granger. The brick portion of the roadway will be replaced with concrete pavement that will be stained and stamped to match the existing brick pavers. Removal of the bricks will begin on Monday, April 4.
