JP 1 Office Closed Dec. 23

The Justice of the Peace Precinct One Office will be closed December 23. County offices are closed December 24 and 25, 2019, for the Christmas holiday. Precinct One will reopen on Thursday, December 26, 2019. The public may mail correspondence to the Justice of the Peace Office addressed to Justice Court, Pct. 1, Williamson County, Texas, 1801 E Old Settlers Blvd., Ste. 100, Round Rock, Texas 78664 or pay tickets online at www.wilco.org/payjp1 . Citations due during this time will be extended to December 26, 2019.  You may also e-mail [email protected] with any questions.

Williamson County Landfill Offers Christmas Tree Recylcing

The Williamson County Landfill, 600 Landfill Road in Hutto, will accept Christmas trees for recycling December 26, 2019, through January 19, 2020, free of charge for Williamson County residents.  Flocked trees are not accepted for recycling. The landfill will be closed on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. Call (512) 759-8881 for more information.

County Breaks Ground on River Ranch County Park Interpretive Center

Williamson County broke ground December 11, 2019, on an interpretive center for River Ranch County Park. The center is being funded with a $750,000 grant from Texas Parks and Wildlife and voter approved park bonds for a cost of approximately $1.9 million. The interpretive center is slated to open in fall 2020.

Each year, hundreds of Williamson County FFA and 4-H members participate in the Williamson County Livestock Show & Youth Fair, December 2 to 7, 2019, at the Williamson County Expo Center, 5350 Bill Pickett Trail, Taylor.
