Williamson County under Red Flag Warning Jan. 18

A Red Flag Warning is in effect for Williamson County from noon to 8 p.m. on Jan. 18. The U.S. National Weather Service Austin-San Antonio Texas says a combination of strong winds, low relative humidity and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior.  Please avoid activities that could inadvertently cause a wildfire: avoid burning; be careful around open flames; safely dispose of cigarettes.

Williamson County Animal Shelter Hosts the "Be a CHAMPion" Adoption Celebration

In celebration of Champ's Day, the Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter will have a $3 adoption event from January 13 to 16 for all champions who show up to adopt one of the incredible adult superhero shelter dogs and cats. To preview adoptable pets, go to wilcopets.org, then send an email to [email protected] to schedule a priority-service appointment. Walk-ins are also welcome.

Williamson County offices will be closed on Monday, January 16, in observance of the Martin Luther King (MLK) Jr. Day holiday. While county offices are closed,  residents can utilize the online services that are being offered in various departments.
