Williamson County offices will be closed on Monday, January 16, in observance of the Martin Luther King (MLK) Jr. Day holiday. While county offices are closed,  residents can utilize the online services that are being offered in various departments. The next Commissioners Court meeting following the holiday is scheduled for Tuesday, January 17, at 9:30 a.m. in the courtroom on the second floor of the historic courthouse, located at 710 S. Main Street, in Georgetown. 

  The Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter, located at 1855 S.E. Inner Loop in Georgetown, will be open on MLK Jr. Day from noon to 6 p.m. The shelter is having an adoption special from Jan. 13  through Monday, Jan. 16. Everyone’s favorite WCRAS alumni-pup, Champ, was adopted on January 13, 2020. The shelter is celebrating Champ’s Day with $3 adoption for all medium/large adult dogs and adult cats when you schedule an appointment by emailing [email protected].
